Add Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to Your Factory Screen
For vehicles that did not come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, NavTool adds it to your original screen and controls. It looks stock, uses your factory mic and Bluetooth calling, and feels like it was there from day one.
The simple truth: your phone runs everything
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto live inside your phone. Your phone provides the apps, the processor, the voice assistant, and the interface. Your car is the secure screen and control surface. That is why Apple CarPlay and Android Auto feel the same from car to car and why your apps are always current.

How wireless works
Pair once, then it connects automatically each drive. Your phone starts over Bluetooth for identification, then hands off audio and video to a fast Wi-Fi link between the phone and the adapter. You get responsive maps, calls, and music with no cable required.
- Bluetooth handshake for pairing
- High bandwidth Wi-Fi for smooth visuals and audio
- Auto reconnect when you start the vehicle
- Phone stays in your pocket or on a charger
What you can do
- Maps and traffic with Apple Maps, Google Maps, or Waze
- Calling and messaging with hands free voice
- Music, podcasts, and audiobooks from top apps
- Calendar, reminders, and notifications designed for driving
Use the controls you already know
Factory Touchscreen
Rotary Knob or Joystick
Steering Wheel Buttons
NavTool maps Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to your vehicle’s native inputs. Touchscreen cars use touch. Knob or joystick cars use turn and press. Long press the voice button to talk to Siri or Google Assistant.
Phone and app compatibility
If your phone supports Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, you are set. Because the software runs on your phone, new features arrive when Apple or Google update iOS and Android.

Data note: Apple CarPlay and Android Auto use the same data your apps would use on the phone by itself. Navigation and streaming use data as usual. Many map apps offer offline maps that work without data once downloaded.
Vehicle compatibility
Every NavTool interface is vehicle specific. We design for the exact year, make, model, and options so it integrates like factory. Use the checker to confirm fit for your vehicle.
Audio quality and calls feel like OEM
We route audio through the factory system and reuse the factory mic and Bluetooth calling path when supported, so calls sound natural and controls behave like stock. If your vehicle does not support the factory mic with this upgrade, we include a clean, discrete mic.
- Digital audio through factory amplifier and speakers
- Factory Bluetooth calling behavior
- Factory mic reused when supported; discrete mic included if needed
Performance and reliability
We validate on real vehicles across trims, audio packages, and screen types, so you get quick start, smooth maps, stable calls, and no added lag. When improvements are available, we provide firmware updates.
- Fast wake and reconnection
- Stable in cabin Wi-Fi link
- Firmware updates when available
What stays factory
- Rear camera, front camera, and 360 view where equipped
- Parking sensors, chimes, and vehicle settings
- Steering wheel buttons and voice key behavior
- Factory audio EQ and sound profiles
Apple CarPlay or Android Auto appears on the factory screen and hands control back to your original system whenever needed, like when shifting to reverse.
What is in the box
- Vehicle specific NavTool interface and harness
- Discrete microphone if the factory mic cannot be reused
- Install guide and access to U.S. based support
Reference video: the demo below shows Apple CarPlay and Android Auto operating in different vehicles with different control types. It is a universal example. Your NavTool kit is vehicle specific and uses your own factory controls. Use this as a quick overview, not a guide for your exact screen layout.
Common questions
My car did not come with Apple CarPlay or Android Auto. Will this add it?
Yes. This upgrade adds wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to vehicles that did not have it from the factory. It uses your factory screen, controls, mic, Bluetooth calling, cameras, sensors, and chimes, so it feels like OEM.
Why does the interface look the same in every car?
Apple CarPlay and Android Auto live inside your phone. The car is the display and control surface, which is why the look and feel are consistent.
Touchscreen vs knob, will both work?
Yes. Touchscreen cars use touch. Knob or joystick cars use turn and press. Steering wheel buttons and the voice key work as designed.
Is wireless as responsive as wired?
Wireless uses a direct Wi-Fi link for audio and video. We tune for fast wake and smooth performance. Many vehicles can still run a wired session if you prefer a cable.
Does this use extra data?
No extra data beyond what the same apps would use on your phone by itself. Navigation and streaming use data as usual. Many map apps offer offline maps that work without data once downloaded.
Do I need factory navigation?
No. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto provide their own maps on the factory screen through the NavTool interface.
What about backup cameras and parking sensors?
Your factory features remain. The system switches to camera in reverse, including 360 or surround view when equipped, and returns to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto afterward. Parking sensors, chimes, and vehicle settings continue to work as before.
Safety first. Use voice for calls and messages. Set your destination before driving. Do not adjust menus while the vehicle is in motion.
