What Is an Email Safe Sender List?

A whitelist, or safe senders list, contains email addresses or domains from which you want to receive emails. By adding an address or domain to your safe sender list, you are telling your email application not to deliver those emails to your spam/junk folder.

Why Should I Do This?

On occasion, our messages might be delivered accidentally to your junk folder — or blocked completely by your email application. This won’t happen if you tell your application to deliver NavTool messages to your inbox.

How Do I Do This?

The process of whitelisting an email address is easy. You can start by selecting your email provider from the list below and following the instructions for that program. After you do this, be sure to monitor your spam/junk email folder to make sure our emails are not being delivered there. If you do find one of our emails in your spam/junk folder, just open the message and click the “Not Spam/Junk” button (see your email application’s help pages for how to do this). Also, please make sure you allow images to display in our emails.

1. Click the "Mail menu" and select "Address Book"
2. When the "Address Book" window opens up, click the "Add" button
3. Once the "Address Card for New contact" window loads, enter this email address into the "Other E-Mail" field:
4. Check the check box to make the from address the "Primary E-Mail" address
5. Click Save

1. Log into your AOL® web-based email account
2. Click “Contacts” on the menu on the left
3. Click “New” on the menu on the top.  Select “New Contact” from the drop down menu
4. In the space for “Email 1” enter:

4. Click the "Down Arrow" to view your Personal Friends List
5. Along the Right Side choose "Add A Friend"

Mozilla Thunderbird™

Add our email addresses into your Address Book:

1. Click the "Address Book" button
2. Make sure the Personal Address Book is highlighted
3. Click the "New Card" button. When the New Card window launches, select the "Contact" tab.  
4. Into the Email dialog box, enter:

Whitelist your Address Book:

1. From the main drop down menu, select "Tools, Junk Mail Controls..."
2. When the Junk Mail Controls window launches, select the "Settings" tab
3. Update the "White Lists" module by selecting Personal Address Book from the pull down menu and then check mark the box next to "Do not mark messages as junk mail"
4. Click "OK"

1. Click on 'Settings: E-mail | Junk e-mail" at the bottom left of the screen

5. Update the “From” header: select “contains” from the drop down menu
6. Into the box to the right of the drop down enter:
6. Click the “Move the Message to”  drop down menu at the and select "inbox" at the bottom of page
7. Click the "Add Filter button 

If your email provider does not appear in the list above, you may be able to simply add our email address to your address book, which will allow our emails to be delivered to your inbox.

If, after adding us to your address book, you still do not receive our emails in your inbox, please check your spam folder, bulk folder, or junk folder. If you find our emails there, you will need to mark the message as “Safe”. Usually there is a “Not Spam” or “Not Junk” button located at the top of the email when you open it.
