What Parts or Componets Will Change In The Vehicle? NAVTOOL 5.0-APPLE-CARPLAY - does not replace or add the factory screen; it creates additional video inputs, HDMI smartphone mirroring, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capabilities for the factory installed navigation system or color information screen for non navigation vehicles. Vehicles equipped with factory color screen or an outdated factory navigation can now take advantage of the navigations apps installed on your smartphone, mirror/project any application including navigation applications (Waze, Google Maps, Apple Maps and similar) from smartphone to vehicle's color screen.

What Factory Installed Options or Features Will Stop Working In The Vehicle? NAVTOOL 5.0-APPLE-CARPLAY - does not replace, break, change or prevent any factory features from working as before NavTool Installation. NavTool is 100% transparent for the vehicle, its like nothing was ever installed.  

Will audio from NavTool interface play via vehicles factory speakers?

Can I play videos form USB thumb drive?
Yes, USB video player sold separately.

Do I have to worry about future updates for Apple Carplay & Android Auto?
No, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto is only inside iPhone and Android. You never have to update it, as they are updated automatically inside the phone.

How is the interface controlled?
It is controlled via wireless remote controller shown in the images above.

What is the difference between mirroring and Apple CarPlay/Android Auto?
Mirroring allows complete smartphone screen mirroring to vehicles screen, its one way mirroring all controls are from the smartphone screen. Apple CarPlay/Android Auto allows for 2 way control for apps authorized by Apple and Google.

Does this interface include mirroring, Apple CarPlay & Android Auto?

Can entire phone be controlled form touch screen or factory joystick?
Apple CarPlay/Android Auto allows fot 2 way control for apps authorized by Apple and Google. Rest of the apps can be seen on the car screen via Mirroring, it allows complete smartphone screen mirroring to vehicles screen.

Details:

NAVTOOL 5.0-APPLE-CARPLAY + PPH are 100% plug and play - no wire cutting required. NavTool plug and play installation harnesses are made using only O.E.M. factory connectors.
(Accessory, Ground, Reverse, Parking Brake wires may still need to be connected on some vehicles)

NAVTOOL 5.0-APPLE-CARPLAY video sources connected to NavTool interface via HDMI also receive audio via HDMI, then from NavTool audio output is connected to vehicles AUX audio input. Smartphone audio can also utilize Bluetooth audio streaming on equipped vehicles.

NAVTOOL 5.0-APPLE-CARPLAY is video-in-motion enabled for off the public road use (away from any public roads), the video image will stay on the screen even while the vehicle is in motion, however, we do not recommend doing this.

Front Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a front camera. The front camera can be turned on automatically after the reverse and will stay on the screen up to 10 MPH, or can be turned on manually at any time.
