Description:

NavTool NavRGB 3.0
is a new generation of navigation video interfaces that add video capabilities to vehicles with factory installed navigation system, or with a color information screen.

NavTool NavRGB 3.0
adds 2 composite video inputs to your factory navigation screen or color information screen.

NavTool NavRGB 3.0 does not replace or add a factory navigation system; it creates additional video inputs for the factory installed navigation system or color information screen. Vehicles equipped with factory color screen or an outdated factory navigation can now take advantage of the navigations apps installed on your smartphone, mirror/project any application including navigation applications (Waze, Google Maps and similar) from your smartphone to your vehicle's color screen - REQUIRES INTERFACE TO BE UPGRADED TO NAVRGB3.0-HDMI CLICK HERE FOR THE UPGRADE

Details:

NavTool NavRGB 3.0 + HA20 are 100% plug and play - no wire cutting required. NavTool plug and play installation harnesses are made using only O.E.M. Acura connectors.
(Accessory, Ground, Reverse, Parking Brake wires may still need to be connected)

NavTool NAVRGB 3.0 is an externally wired plug and play video interface that is installed in-line with the navigation computer and navigation screen. It works simply by interrupting the video signal from the navigation computer when it is activated, or when +12V are applied on the reverse camera wire. When this occur the navigation system video image will be replaced by the video source connected to NavTool NavRGB 3.0 video interface.

NavTool NAVRGB 3.0 is a video-only input interface and does not have any audio inputs. If the vehicle does not have a factory installed AUX audio input, then an auxiliary audio input adapter or an audio FM modulator is required to connect audio signals from an external Audio/Video source to the factory audio system. The video and audio will always be perfectly in sync.

NavTool NavRGB 3.0 is video-in-motion enabled for off-road (away from any public roads) use, the video image will stay on the screen even while the vehicle is in motion, however, we do not recommend doing this.

Factory navigation DVD-ROM cannot play DVD movies, an external video source is needed to display video on the factory navigation screen. Examples of the video sources: DVD player, Game Console, Digital Media Player, HDD, iPhone, iPad, iPod Video (NavTool NavRGB 3.0-HDMI does not allow control from the vehicle's touch screen, all touch screen controls remain from the smartphone, however, smartphone screen will be mirrored/duplicated on your vehicle's color and/or navigation screen).

Controls & Inputs:

Video Input One is dedicated for any external composite video source. Example: front cameras

Video Input Two is dedicated to the back-up camera, this input is automatically activated when the vehicle is placed in reverse, parking grid lines can be turned on or off.

Video Input Two can also be used as an input for any external composite video source. Example: 360 surround view cameras

VIDEO INPUT TWO AS MULTIPLE CAMERA SWITCHING, REQUIRES THIS ADAPTER - CLICK HERE TO PURCHASE ADAPTER
Front Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a front camera. The front camera can be turned on automatically after the reverse and will stay on the screen up to 10 MPH, or can be turned on manually at any time.

Left Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a left lane watch camera. The left camera can be turned on automatically with a left turn signal or can be turned on manually at any time.

Right Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a right lane watch camera. Right camera can be turned on automatically with a right turn signal or can be turned on manually at any time.

Rear Camera Input: (if a vehicle is not equipped with a factory rear view camera) is dedicated to an installation of a rear view camera. Rear view camera can be turned on automatically in reverse or can be turned on manually at any time.

Video switching is done by push button switch, the single push will cycle between Video 1 and Video 2, press and hold push button for more than 2 seconds to return back to the original navigation/information screen.

Installation:

THIS INTERFACE SHOULD BE CONNECTED AT THE NAVIGATION COMPUTER AND NOT BEHIND THE SCREEN.

Simply unplug factory connector from the back of the navigation computer, plug in male connector of the supplied HA20 plug and play harness into the navigation computer, and plug in factory connector into the female connector of supplied HA20 plug and play harness, then connect 12V accessory power, ground, and back-up camera wire (if installing an aftermarket back-up camera). The installation is really that simple.

NavTool NavRGB 3.0+HA20 is plug and play video interface and only requires extra wiring for +12V accessory power input and chassis ground connection, this connection will not void your vehicles factory warranty.

Why installing NavTool interface has no effect on vehicle warranty?

Vehicles owners are often confused about the effect on their warranty if aftermarket parts installed on their brand new vehicles. This confusion often is the result of intentionally misleading information intended to convince you that only the manufacturer or authorized dealer should service your vehicle.

This practice is also known as "Tie-In Sales" Provisions. Legally tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. These provisions require an owner of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty. For example, in order to keep your new vehicles warranty in effect, you must use genuine parts. Failure to have scheduled maintenance performed, at your expense, by the dealership voids this warranty.
