NavTool CANBOX3.0 is a new generation of navigation video interfaces that adds video and unlock capabilities to vehicles with factory installed navigation system, or with a color information screen.

NavTool CANBOX3.0 adds 4 composite video inputs to your factory navigation or color information screen.

NavTool CANBOX3.0 does not replace or add a factory navigation system; it creates additional video input capabilities for the factory installed navigation or color information screen. 

Details:

NavTool CANBOX3.0 + FL are 100% plug and play - no wire cutting required. NavTool plug and play installation harnesses are made using O.E.M. Ford/Lincoln connectors.

NavTool CANBOX3.0 is an externally wired plug and play interface that is installed behind the factory radio. It simply unlocks features that are locked during driving, it's 100% seamless and there is no change to your factory setup or operation.

NavTool CANBOX3.0 is a video-only input interface and does not have any audio inputs. If the vehicle does not have a factory installed AUX audio jack, then an auxiliary audio input adapter or an audio FM modulator is needed to connect audio signals from an external Audio/Video source to the factory audio system. The video and audio will always be perfectly in sync.

NavTool CANBOX3.0 is video-in-motion enabled for off-road (away from any public roads) use, the video image will stay on the screen even while the vehicle is in motion, however, we do not recommend doing this.

If the vehicle is not equipped with a factory DVD player, an external video source is needed to display video on the factory screen. Examples of the video sources: DVD player, Game Console, Digital Media Player, HDD, iPhone, iPad, iPod Video.

VIDEO INPUTS AS MULTIPLE CAMERA SWITCHING:

Front Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a front camera. The front camera can be turned on automatically after the reverse and will stay on the screen up to 10 MPH, or can be turned on manually at any time.

Left Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a left lane watch camera. The left camera can be turned on automatically with a left turn signal or can be turned on manually at any time.

Right Camera Input: is dedicated to an installation of a right lane watch camera. Right camera can be turned on automatically with a right turn signal or can be turned on manually at any time.

Video Switching - is controlled via factory radio buttons, all factory features continue to operate as before. 

Video Unlock - is controlled via factory radio buttons, all factory features continue to operate as before.

Unlock Video-In-Motion - Vehicle must be equipped with a factory AUX video input or factory DVD player.

Unlock DVD-In-Motion - Vehicle must be equipped with a factory DVD player.

Unlock Navigation-In-Motion - Vehicle must be equipped with a navigation system.

Unlock Control-In-Motion - Unlock certain features that are locked while driving.

Camera In-Drive - Vehicle must be equipped with a factory or aftermarket camera.

Installation:

THIS INTERFACE SHOULD BE CONNECTED AT THE NAVIGATION COMPUTER/SCREEN CONTROLLER AND NOT BEHIND THE SCREEN.

Simply unplug factory connector from the back of the navigation computer/screen controller, plug in a male connector of the supplied FL plug and play harness into the navigation computer/screen controller, and plug in factory connector into the female connector of the supplied FL plug and play harness. The installation is really that simple.

Why installing NavTool interface has no effect on vehicle warranty?


Vehicles owners are often confused about the effect on their warranty if aftermarket parts installed on their brand new vehicles. This confusion often is the result of intentionally misleading information intended to convince you that only the manufacturer or authorized dealer should service your vehicle. 
 
This practice is also known as "Tie-In Sales" Provisions. Legally tie-in sales provisions are not allowed. These provisions require an owner of the warranted product to buy an item or service from a particular company to use with the warranted product in order to be eligible to receive a remedy under the warranty. For example, in order to keep your new vehicles warranty in effect, you must use genuine parts. Failure to have scheduled maintenance performed, at your expense, by the dealership voids this warranty.
